Driven by John Brown and Edgar Wadsworth for Cooper Car Co. at the 1955 24h of Le Mans.

The first Cooper to take part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans was a small sports car that, at first glance, might have seemed almost insignificant alongside the great protagonists of the French endurance race. But behind its modest dimensions lay a completely different way of conceiving a racing car — one that would ultimately transform the world of motor racing forever.

The Cooper T39 is one of those cars that may not appear on the first pages of Le Mans history, but certainly deserves to be remembered. Light, compact and conceived with a philosophy radically different from that of the great sports cars of its time, it perfectly represents an era in which imagination, simplicity and the pursuit of maximum efficiency were beginning to challenge the traditional formulas of competition.

The replica is presented inside Modelant's traditional wooden case, transformed into a display piece that allows the model to be showcased when it is not running on the track. On this occasion, the set includes a diorama inspired by the famous Arnage corner, one of the most iconic sections of the Circuit de la Sarthe.
